Three members of a drugs gang involved in the trafficking of heroin and crack cocaine into Lancashire from Merseyside, have been jailed.
It followed an investigation by Lancashire Police’s South Division Targeted Crime Unit.
The trio helped with the movement of the drugs from Liverpool to the South Ribble area between late March and the middle of May in 2022.
John Bradley was the principal member of the group, communicating with others from his home in Liverpool, taking orders for drugs and arranging for the collection of debts.
Andrew Blake would courier drugs from Liverpool to Lancashire, making 51 trips.
He would often meet up with Simon Gorner, often at an address in Croston and on other occasions in Leyland.
Gorner would collect the drugs from Blake and distribute them on to others in Leyland who sold drugs at street level.
Blake and Gorner was arrested at a house in Station Road, Croston, on the morning of 18th May 2022, with £1,950 found in an envelope from a sofa where Blake had been sitting.
Also found on the sofa was a plastic bag containing 143 wraps of heroin and 48 rocks of crack cocaine.
Bradley was arrested on the same morning at his home in Liverpool, a search of the address finding £19,225 in cash in a bedroom.
Bradley, 27, of Whitehaven Road, Liverpool, Blake, 62, of Botanic Road, Liverpool, and Gorner, 63, of Bannister Drive, Leyland, appeared at Preston Crown for a sentencing hearing on Tuesday (18th November).
They had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A controlled drugs and acquire/use/possess criminal property.
Bradley was jailed for seven years, Blake was jailed for six years and nine months, and Gorner was jailed for 4 years and 11 months.
