Police have charged a man following two burglaries in Preston.
The first happened on Cavendish Drive in the early hours of 24th February 2025, when a brick was used to smash a window. On coming downstairs, the occupant disturbed a man who left the property empty handed.
The second happened on St Philips Road on 3rd March. It was reported that electrical items worth around £6000 were stolen.
On Thursday, 13th March 2025, following multiple enquiries by the South Residential Burglary Team, a 46 year old man was arrested in Preston.
Emmanuel Akanwo, 46, of Lytham Road, Preston has been charged with two counts of burglary in a dwelling and fraud by false representation. He appeared before Preston Magistrates Court on Friday and was remanded in custody to appear before Preston Crown Court next month.
