Police have arrested a man following the discovery of a cannabis grow in Leyland.
They attended a property on Cleveland Road at around 5.30pm last night (Tuesday 7th October, 2025).
Once inside, officers discovered around 50 mature cannabis plants growing in one of the upstairs rooms. There was also evidence that the electricity had been bypassed and Electricity North West attended to make the area safe. A machete was also discovered in the premises.
A 53-year-old man from Leyland was arrested at the scene and is currently in custody waiting to be questioned on suspicion of cannabis cultivation, abstracting electricity and possession of an offensive weapon.
Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire, supported by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
