Accrington Stanley supporters will have several opportunities to meet players from Accrington Stanley and Accrington Stanley Women as part of the Christmas Lights Switch On.
Taking place on Thursday 27th November (4pm-8pm),players from both clubs will appear on the main stage at 4:50pm, where they will take part in interviews with event host and lifelong Stanley fan Stephen Lowe.
During this segment, the four winners of the Accrington Stanley Christmas Card competition will receive their printed cards and a Christmas hamper, before the players take part in a football giveaway, kicking footballs into the crowd.
A further opportunity to meet the players will follow at approximately 5:15pm, with a meet and greet session inside the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust shop in the Arndale. Supporters will be able to take photos, collect autographs and enjoy additional football giveaways.
The player appearances form part of a wider programme of activity across the town centre. Families can enjoy a free meet and greet with Frozen characters on Broadway from 4:45pm to 5:45pm, following their performance on the main stage at 4:20pm. From 6pm, a free Santa’s grotto will open on Broadway, offering free selection boxes, sponsored by Proctor Process Plant Ltd and Vita Accrington, on a first come, first served basis.
This year’s event is headlined by one of the biggest selling boybands of the 90s East 17, supported by a fantastic line-up of performers throughout the evening, alongside street food, craft stalls, a funfair, Buddy the Elf, a fireworks display and much more.
