A cat that was found unconscious in a burning building has made a full recovery.
The un-named ginger feline was discovered in a fire at a terraced house in Broadway Place in Barrowford.
Firefighters used water and a specially-fitted pet oxygen mask to get the cat breathing again before it was taken to a vet.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Firefighters from Nelson Fire Station, Colne Fire Station and Burnley Fire Station attended a house fire last week where firefighters Donohoe and Grimshaw rescued a cat that was found unconscious in the fire.
“Thanks to firefighter Bradley and acting crew manager Heskith, who used a pet oxygen mask and water to revive the cat, it was safely transported to the vet for treatment—and we're happy to report the cat made a full recovery!”
