Fylde Council has officially taken back ownership of the long-closed Kirkham Pool, marking a key step toward its potential reopening.
Closed since storm damage in 2021, the site will undergo £150,000 in urgent preservation work, with £75,000 budgeted annually for ongoing maintenance.
Full refurbishment is now estimated at £3 million.
Though a recent lottery funding bid failed, the council is exploring alternative funding and partnerships.
