BAE Systems has lost a High Court attempt to stop strike action at its Warton and Samlesbury sites in Lancashire.
400 Unite members walked out on Wednesday in a dispute over pay, rejecting a 3.6 percent offer.
A judge refused BAE’s injunction bid, with reasons to follow at a later date.
The company says it respects employees’ right to strike, while the union says BAE should return to the negotiating table.
