A man has been arrested after a serious assault in Lytham over the weekend.
Police were called at 1.28am on Sunday (June 18) to Henry Street, Lytham, to a report that a 25-year-old had been assaulted
The victim was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Police have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm. He is currently in custody.
The investigation is still very much ongoing and officers continue their appeal asking for witnesses and anyone who has information about the incident to come forward.
