A series of trees in Fylde have been saved following strong public support.
Fydle Council had been reviewing the London Plane trees along Clifton Street due to pavement damage caused by their roots.
A petition led by County Councillor Tim Ashton and signed by local residents called for the trees to stay.
The council has confirmed the trees will be retained following detailed investigations.
