A dog suspected to be an XL bully has been seized after a woman was bitten on a street in Blackpool.
The woman was attacked on Havelock Street after stopping her car to confront a man at around 5:30pm on Monday.
Lancashire Police said a woman in her 20s suffered a hand injury, and a man in his 40s had been arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control, after police attended an address in the town.
Ownership of XL bullys is restricted, and it is against the law to sell, give away, abandon or breed from an XL bully.
It’s also a criminal offence to own an XL bully without an exemption certificate.
