A man has been charged following a serious collision in Broughton last month.
At 9.23pm on 28th October officers were travelling behind a Nissan Qashqai close to the Junction 32 exit of the M6, leading to the M55.
The Qashqai collided with a barrier before coming to rest further along the exit slip road.
The driver was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Following enquiries, Alex Greenhalgh, 33, of Gorton Fold in Horwich, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without insurance.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Lancashire Magistrates Court.
