Three people who died in suspected drug related deaths in Blackpool could have taken contaminated heroin, according to police.
An investigation into the deaths, which happened at different locations and on different occasions between February and March this year, is continuing.
The three deceased are two men in their 40s and a woman in her 40s and they were all from Blackpool.
A 31-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: ‘’One line of enquiry is that the deceased had taken contaminated heroin, although this has yet to be confirmed or corroborated, and we are continuing to advise drug users to seek immediate medical attention if they notice any different symptoms or start to feel unwell.
‘’There is no safe way of taking drugs, and no way of knowing exactly what you are putting into your body and whether it is safe.
